Lifestyle Management course for Veterans.

The Thistle Foundation, based in Edinburgh, are coming to Poppyscotland in Inverness to deliver a  Lifestyle Management course for Veterans

The course is open to any veteran struggling with life in civvy street who wishes to gain control over their situation.

Difficulties experienced may be as a direct result of, or related to physical or mental health conditions.

Benefits

The course itself is about building confidence and boosting self-esteem through the support, teamwork and camaraderie of other veterans,

and addresses issues including social isolation, confidence, mental distress, anger and aggression, relationships and planning for the future.

A leaflet outlining the course is attached.

Delivery and Duration

Two experienced practitioners from Thistle will meet for an hour with referred individuals on either Monday 13th or Tuesday 14th April

prior to the first session to give them the opportunity to talk about what they hope to gain from the course.

The course itself is planned to run on two consecutive days over five weeks (dates listed below), each session lasting three hours with appropriate breaks.
