There are few institutions in the United Kingdom with an unbroken three centuries of service and none of them is so close to the heart of the nation as “The Men in Scarlet”, the Chelsea Pensioners, and their home, the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Founded in 1682 by King Charles II, the Royal Hospital still serves its original purpose and intends to continue to further its role well into the 21st Century and will be here for today’s young soldiers on the front line when they retire.

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Widows’ Association was formed in 2008 by a group of volunteers most of whom are widowed. They felt that there was a need for an organisation which could represent and support widows and widowers and recognised partners of service personnel serving in today’s Royal Navy and Royal Marines

The Submariners Association aims to promote and support the RN Submarine Service and its heritage. It fosters the friendships and comradeship peculiar to all submariners so that they may continue to share the experiences and association, and to keep alive that pride in the Submarine Branch, formed during their service in H.M. Submarines. The Scottish Branch meets monthly in The RSAS Club, Feus Road, Perth.

Membership to the Suez Veterans Association is open to all those who served in the Suez Canal Zone with the British Armed Forces, the Nursing Services and Civilian Support Staff. All members receive four SVA Newsletters per year. The UK-wide is divided into SVA Regional Areas, each with a Representative and area meetings are held frequently.
